Room 7's Overall Flag Vote
This is my retelling about Room 7's overall flag Vote. The most popular flag was the the original flag. I really don't want to change the new Zealand flag. Fifteen people liked the original flag and 8 people wanted to change the flag. Eight people wanted the Silver fern - Red, White and blue flag. The Silver fern - Red, white and blue flag used to be popular. But when the old flag of new Zealand came up 15 people in our class picked the original flag.

The favourite flag was the Red,White and blue. The less favourite was the red peak. We had chose a flag that looked nice. I think the red white blue was chose a lot because it has the patterns from the old flag but if we had a chose to keep the old flag I would just stick with the old flag instead of spending 24k dollars on a stupid flag.

Revising Writing
Yesterday and today I have been working with Tai on a piece sample writing. I had to delete, and edit this writing.
My Edited Piece of Writing
On Saturday I was at my Papa's, Aunt’s, and Uncle’s, house getting ready for halloween. When I saw my Papa he was dressed up in a very spooky zombie costume then I was dress up as a purple bat. Me and my Papa were ready for halloween. Me and my Papa were going around the houses asking for lollies.
Once we went to a house that was very black and very spooky.My Papa got scared but I told him don’t worry because It's just a house full of halloween decorations. There were lots of spiderwebs, bats and witch decorations. I knocked on the door and out came a man dressed as a ghost and then a lady came out to give us some yummy sweets. “Happy trick or treating” I said to them next. I went down to another house that wasn't spooky at all.
It only had spiders and a black witch’s broom. I knocked on the door and out came a black witch. The black witch gave us chocolate and pumpkin candy’s.
When we stopped at Kings Road we saw my friend Zara and her Dad Babu they were going trick or treating for yummy treats. Me and my Papa were walking to Zara and a
asked if we can come with you to get yummy treats then she said yes. When we stopped down at the cafe we had a hot chocolate drink and a strawberry cupcake. We went back down to Coral Cress to go to another houses for trick or treating. When we saw another house that was even scarier I said happy trick or treat and then out came a spider. The spider was only a decoration and a man came to give us lollies and chocolate. It was fun at halloween night. When I got tied it was time to go home I said bye to my friend Zara and went home to eat all the goodies I had and I ate them all.

Wedges Experiment
Aim:

I think that my front teeth is going to bite the bread and banana.
Results
I used my front teeth to bite my banana and I you use my molars to chew.

Title: The Chopsticks Challenge
Aim: Use the chopsticks as a lever to carry a wine gum from one to another bowl within one meter.
Hypothesis
I think that I can take the wine gum a cross because I have been practising a lot.
Results
I was able to take one pebble and wine gum to the bowl on the other side within one metre.

The Chopsticks Challenge
The chopsticks challenge
Yes we are doing the Chopsticks Challenge!!! Today we have been doing the chopsticks challenge. First we had to pick the wine gun. It was so easy in the start but in the end it was hard because the chopsticks were slippery. It was not wooden it was plastic and the pebbles were slippery as well but we did a chopsticks challenge together. Then I tried to get one but I failed but in my second round it was my turn I nearly got it then in the end there was one winner it was our we had 7 pebbles. And the other time had 2 pebbles.

This is This graph shows who ' s was the closest to the bowl. The closest to the bowl was Josephs because had 107 and Ta ' ani because he had 106. The furthest was sky ' s because she had 22.
The wine gum was easy to carry to the other bowl but the pebbles was a bit hard.

Should we have school uniform? Mufti clothes are clothes you wear at home but not at school. We do not have mufti at Panmure Bridge School. I am against wearing mufti clothes. It doesn’t make me feel part of Panmure Bridge School.

If we wear mufti and you get lost on a trip no one will know which school you are from. If you were in an accident and you wore mufti clothes no one would know what school you are from. The only people that would know are students that go to the same school as you.

School clothes do not cost too much money because you can get a second hand uniform from the school shop or from a parent representative. If you have a big brother and sister the school uniform can be easily passed down, so this would save parents money.

If you have mufti then you might want new clothes like your friends, but your family may not have enough money to buy them. Parents would feel pressured to buy clothes that they may not have the money for. This could result in families doing without food to pay for labelled clothing. There could be students who could get themselves in a fight over labelled clothing. Bullying can easily happen when people wear different clothes. Students can steal other students clothes if we all had to wear mufti clothes.

So I am against wearing mufti clothes at Panmure Bridge School because the uniform is smart, made strong and identifiable. A school uniform saves your parents money and everyone wears the same.
