Samoan language week

This week our focus was on Samoan language week. We teamed up with LS1 to learn how to say some words in Samoan and we wanted to learn the ( days of the week ) in Samoan its ( Aso O'Le Vaiaso ) we had fun chring to say the words in Samoan. We had fun making this DLO I was working on this DLO with Sakina and Sila.

Prons and Cons

Today we working on Pros and Cons. I was working with John, Chavda, Mataio and Miki and we were working really well together. It was hard finding thing for the cons and it was easy doing the pros and it was really fun doing the pros. 

M&M's - by Hajera, Miki, John, Chavda and Mataio

Last week we were learning about M&M's with Mr John. I was working with Miki, John, Chavda and Mataio,we all had fun making this DLO while Mrs Anderson and Mrs Kirkpatrick were gone to Chicago to do some work over there, we were having fun over eating M&M's and making DLO about them. We all had a part to do and present, we were team 8 and we present today and we all did good and we had some interesting facts about M&M's and one of the facts is the company got the idea from some soldiers.

Panmure Bridge School Matariki

Today was the Panmure Bridge School Matariki. There were the sinner kapa haka  and the junior kapa haka  and the pacifica  group they were so good at what they were doing, there were the dreamer's and they really good too. After all the grate performances we all got sausages, the vegetarian got the vegetarian sausages  and the people that liked the pork one's they got the pork one's.

Ramadan - Fasting

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim year it's when we fast. Festing is when we don't eat and when we wake up in midnight from the morning and to the night. It is hard to fast when we are running or when we play sports because we get really thirsty and we can't eat or drink any thing when we bark our fast we have a pray we have to say before we eat.  We do this so we can take all the bad sins we have done. 

Leading school assmbly-Care Award

Last Friday I was presenting for our school assembly with Jack and it was my third time leading a school assembly. The last times I had presented I was very nervous but when the time went past I got used to speaking in front of my whole school. This really helped me to boost my confidants levels.

 

Tables conga and Transum

Today we had maths we played lots of fun games at maths. I was working on my 8 times tables and I played a game to help me with my 8 times table and I played Tables conga the Tables conga is on Transom This game has helped me with my 8 times table and I played some other games on my Transom. Transom has lots of fun games to played.

Place Value

Today at maths we were learning how do our addition by using place value. This helped me with answering my problems faster then before. This maths problems was a bit hard and easy at the same time it was fun to do the problem and we all had fun.

How I can be an agent of change

 

Today we all made an DLO on how we can be an agent of change to help us set goals. We looked at how we could be agent of change in our own 2018 learning journey and one of my goals are taking a risk for my learning.

Equipment respect

This year the 2018 winter Olympics they showed a huge amount of respect and used lots equipment.
There were lots countries coming together to compete with other countries they showed lots of
teamwork and showed lots of respect.
They all played a fer game of sports and this was held at the Pyeongchang at south korea the
countries had fun and there were lots of sports.

They all showed  respect to all of the  county.  
The winter Olympic opening ceremony was at 1924 and they all showed friendship and
lots of teamwork.
They all had so much fun and there where first place winners and second winners
and third place winners and they all got medals and they had fun at the end of the day.

Today I used my word list.

Next time I need to change my words to make then more powerful.

Today we used the ‘2 words 1 minute’ challenge to write a description about the Winter Olympics. After talking in pairs about the things we knew about the winter Olympics we created a list of words (vocabulary) that would help us write our description. We chose the words ‘equipment’ and ‘respect’ to help us think about what we were going to write.

We talked about ideas with a partner, then we had 1 minute to put those ideas into sentences. We had to try our best to use all the words on our vocab list. After the minute was up we had 2 minutes to reread what we had written and make changes if anything didn’t make sense or if we had words and punctuation in the wrong place. When we finished checking we had 2 more minutes to carry on writing our descriptions.

Place Value

A few days ago we had maths and we made this DLO it was fun to make. I solved this by make my place values its not hard for me to do my place value. Firstly I got the 2 and 0 from the 262 and took away it with the 0 I got that from the 120 and I got 2 back then I got 60 and 20 I took away 20 form that 260 and 120 then i was felt whit 40 and i was felt with 200 and 100 I took away 200 whit the 100 and that i was felt whit 100 then I passed 100 with 40 and  the 2 then I got 142. 

kiwi can

Yesterday we had kiwi Can. I thought was really fun we all had lots of fun and we played games and we had Mr Matt, Miss Lily and Mr Ben. We were learning about positive relationships and respect. We played three game an actions game. This game was fun. Then we played a running, game it was really hard to get to the hop without running. Now the ball tag and that was the three games that we play at kiwi can. We all had so much fun at Kiwi Can.

Blog post Record

Today we where working on our blog post Record. We made a cart to show how much blog post we have done and I did not post that much on my blog. my one got lower as my year gorp went higher and at 2015 I was done good but 2016 and 2017 I cant say the same about that. 2018 we just got started school so I just have 2 blog post on my blog. I did not post that much on my blog at 2017 because my chrome book needed to be fixed.

Famliy Dinner

Today I have been working on my care awards. I choose to make dinner for my family. It was fun to making dinner for my family I have finally how to make pizza for my family it was really nice. I got help for my mom and sister it was hard but really fun.

Today was the first day of school we been talking about our holiday and what when have done. We made an google docs shows what we done have over the summer. We had a choice we wanted to do I choices the beach mostly go to the beach.
