Meerkats

LS2 read a book named Meerkat Mail by Emily Gravett, I had a lot of fun making this DLO because I learnt new things about Meerkats like they are long# about their legs are short and a meerkats baby lives in the ground for about 21 days and they like to eat both plants and animals, their diet mostly consists of insects, which they sniff out using their enhanced sense of smell. They also eat small rodents, fruit, birds, eggs, lizards, and even poisonous scorpion.

Bar graph what makes a book boring

This week is the Panmure Bridge School book week and we have made a chart about what makes books boring and many more. This bar graph chart show that 8 people have said that there is not many pictures and 9 people have said that the vocab are hard or boring, 2 people have said that it a predictable ending and that's what make it boring and 2% of the people have said that the blurb is boring and not fun to read, I think books are cool most of the times because I have learnt many words from books.

 

Panmure Bridge book week

This week Panmure Bridge school is celebrating book week and LS2 made a DLO about our reading history. One of my favorite book was Garfield the fat cat and I loved that book so much it about Garfield is about a fat cat, he loves to eat a lot of lasagna and he never get full of it, I love Garfield the the cat because he is so cute and he loves to eat. Two of my fovert book are The best day of my life and its about a girl. Even though Valli spends her days picking coa and fighting with her cousins, life in the coal town of Jharia, India, is the only life she knows. The only site that fills her with terror is the monsters who live on the other side of the train tracks - the lepers. When Valli discovers that that her 'aunt' is a stranger who was paid money to take Valli off her own family's hands, she leaves Jharia and begins a series of adventures that takes her to Kolkata, the city of the gods and Malala is about a girl named Malala. One day she gets on a bus with her friends and this man comes and sit by her, he get a gun out and shoots her in the head and she get rushed to the hospital and she still lives in the end.

Tech / art

Today to Tech tram 4 we had art with Miss Telefoni, I am fished with the carving and next week on Friday I need to paint it yellow, we all had fun carving and coloring and painting our work and next time I will remember to carve out slowly and take my time because I carved out something that I was not meant to   but I had a lot of fun carving. 

What is peace

Today Viva and I were working a DLO about peace, peace is when you show respect to people, religion and race and when you feel safe and happy not down and unhappy. I have learnt a lot about peace and I enjoyed every moment of it, it was hard at first but when I asked questions about peace it was more clear to me.

Readtheory

Today I have been on read theory, read theory is a really fun way of learning and It has helped me with a lot of things like it has helped me with reading and getting most of the answers right. I have a lot of fun going on read theory, read theory has helped me on the read test and more and I think you should go on it because it will help you a lot. 

Hochstetter's frogs

This week for Mrs Kirkpatrick reading group we have been working on a DLO about New Zealand animals, I got a New Zealand Hochstetter's frog and they a lot of cool thing about them like Hochstetter's frogs have only partial webbing between the toes and they are Amphibians. Hochstetter's live in just some parts of New Zealand and they are very cool animals. I had a lot of fun making this DLO about Hochstetter's frogs and I had a lot of fun learning new thing about Hochstetter's frogs. 

readthorey

Today I have been on readthorey, I really enjoy beaning on readthorey because it has help me with most of my thing like my reading, read theory has helped with my reading because I have learned new words and it has helped me by me getting better at answer most of my reading tests and it has helped me in writing too. I have so much fun going on readthorey every day and I think you should go on readthorey if you need some help in any learning work.

Apostrophes - meaning

This week Mrs Anderson's group have been working on a DLO for writing, we have been learning about apostrophes and were they go in a sentence. Apostrophes are put in a word if something belongs to someone or if you want to make two words short like I do not want to go to the doctors, I don't want to go to the doctors, another is like I do not want to go home right now because I am have to much fun in the shops, I don't want to go home right now because I am having to much fun in the shops. I have learnt some new thing about apostrophes and I have had a lot of fun learning and making this DLO.

Panmure bridge labelling - 1865

This week I have been working on a DLO for inquiry labelling the second Panmure bridge parts, I have learnt a lot of thing about bridges and I had  a lot of fun making this DLO, this is the old Panmure bridge it is the second Panmure bridge and it was built in 1865. 

Maths challenges

Today we have been working on Mr Wong's maths challenge, it was not easy doing most of them because some of them were really hard and some were too easy. I finished both of them and I had a lot of fun doing this and I did the working out on my maths book and that helped me a lot with getting the answer right and it did not take me that long to finish it and I would love to do more of Mr Wong's maths challenge because they are fun and they are challenging.

Duffy Assembly

Today we had a hole school Duffy Assembly and we Michel Mulipola, Michel Mulipola is a comic book illustrator and he is from Samoan and one of my favorite book from is the frog. He is very good at art and I really like how Michel Mulipola inspires kids to keep going on and how he tells kids to keep going, he is a very cool guy and he has written books about WWE and he has inspired me a lot.

Wheel words

Today I was playing wheel words and I found out a new word and its Align is something that is in a line, I found two words from the four letters words and one from the five letters words and one from the six letters words. I really enjoy playing wheel words because it really helps me a lot in reading and my work.

Blog comment

This is a blog comment from one of my friend named Nyjah  and I really like how she took her time and wrote a really nice comment on my blog. A blog comment is when some comments on your blog about what they liked and what you should change and a question and you can comment back and say thank you and that you would change that thing that they sad to you and answer they're question and then say good by to them and that is how you can reply to a comment from some one.

Sky Tower trip

Today LS2 and LS1 and room 5 had the most coolest trip, we went to the Sky Tower and it was so grate and it was my first time going to the Sky Tower. The top was so scary because it was so high at the top and the flower was glass by some of the benches, the glass was not my favourite and my favourite place was in bottom because it was not high and the elevator was so cool and it went really fast but for as it did not seam that fast. A grate thank you to Douglas Bates for gifting the money for as to go the sky tower and we learnt a lot of thing about the sky tower and another big thank you to Mrs Anderson and Miss Kirkpatrick and Mr Dobson.

Scale drawing

Last week was maths week, we all had so much fun making these wonderful drawings. Our Ratio is 1:2 and the scale factor is 2, this is my second time making a scale drawing and it was a bit hard to do the face because it was to big and I am missing the thread dot, it's not easy making drawing of Olaf. The best part of this drawing is the stick hair and the big eyes and this is my finshed work.

Samoan language week

This week our focus was on Samoan language week. We teamed up with LS1 to learn how to say some words in Samoan and we wanted to learn the ( days of the week ) in Samoan its ( Aso O'Le Vaiaso ) we had fun chring to say the words in Samoan. We had fun making this DLO I was working on this DLO with Sakina and Sila.

Manaiakalani Film festival

Yesterday we went to the film festival for the Manaiakalani we watched all great films one of my favourite film was for (Panmure Bridge School LS1) I have a bad felling about this it was scary and a bit funny at the same time. We went down at selves park to watch all the Manaiakalani film festival and we all had a grate time down at the film festival.

Matariki

Today we were work well with LS1 and I was working with Raera, Miiana and Brooklyn on DLO about Matariki. We all had fun and learned new things about Matariki about one of the story The 7 stars and it was really fun making this DLO because I learnt new things about Matariki.
