Adding decimals by rounding and compensating

This week Mrs Anderson maths groups has been working on adding decimals by rounding and compensating, you have two numbers and you have to add them to the other two numbers and it might sound really hard but it is really easy once you get it and if you want to know how add decimals you have to look at my DLO and it will explain. 

How to fish a eel

 This week for reading we were learning about how to fish eels, theirs five steps if you want to catch a eel you need to go to a beach or rive, step two you need a fishing rod and you need get the hock and put a small fish in the hock, step three you need to wait for the eel to fall in to the crap, step four once the eel falls for the crap you have to pull up and get the hock out of the eels mouth and step five you need to wait about 1 or 2 minutes then you enjoy.

This is my readtheory graph and it show the title of what I have been reading and it show when I have been on readtheory ( the date ) and my level and the scores, I really enjoy going on readthory because it has helped me with my reading and my understating of a book that I have read, next time I will be sure to read the words carefully and answer the question more carefully so I get them right.

Blog comment

This is a blog comment from one of my friend named Nyjah  and I really like how she took her time and wrote a really nice comment on my blog. A blog comment is when some comments on your blog about what they liked and what you should change and a question and you can comment back and say thank you and that you would change that thing that they sad to you and answer they're question and then say good by to them and that is how you can reply to a comment from some one.

Sky Tower trip

Today LS2 and LS1 and room 5 had the most coolest trip, we went to the Sky Tower and it was so grate and it was my first time going to the Sky Tower. The top was so scary because it was so high at the top and the flower was glass by some of the benches, the glass was not my favourite and my favourite place was in bottom because it was not high and the elevator was so cool and it went really fast but for as it did not seam that fast. A grate thank you to Douglas Bates for gifting the money for as to go the sky tower and we learnt a lot of thing about the sky tower and another big thank you to Mrs Anderson and Miss Kirkpatrick and Mr Dobson.

wheel words

Today for reading we played wheel words, wheel words is a fun learning game that helps you find words. Wheel words is really fun to play and I used two hints to help me find a word and I only got 6 words out of 22 words, I got 3 out 10 4 letter words and one of the words is Gill, Gill is something fishes have to help them breathe. I got 3 out of 5 from the 5 letter words and one of the words is Guilt and guilt is when you feel bad. I did not get any thing for the six letter words and the 7 letter words or the 8 or 9 because it was really hard finding those words.

Scale drawing

Last week was maths week, we all had so much fun making these wonderful drawings. Our Ratio is 1:2 and the scale factor is 2, this is my second time making a scale drawing and it was a bit hard to do the face because it was to big and I am missing the thread dot, it's not easy making drawing of Olaf. The best part of this drawing is the stick hair and the big eyes and this is my finshed work.

Tech - Tamaki collega

Today we went to tech it was really fun and we go to tech at Tamaki college, I just finished my pewter and my one is a hart and it's really nice and cool. I used four sandpaper and that's a lot of sandpaper, first I used the 180 then I used the 400 and then I used the 800 and I used the 1200, I used the 1200 twice because I had to do it once with out the water and once with the water and I really enjoyed it.

This graph shows the responses from LS1 and LS2. 55 people have littered in PBS while 26 hasn’t. This was interesting because a lot of students have said to spread bins across PBS so it’s easier to access. The place that the students find most of their rubbish is around the park. The students think that we should add more bins so people can stop throwing their rubbish on the ground. 48 people think that we need more bins, 7 think we don’t and 28 think we maybe would need it. People have said that we need more rubbish around the park.

Samoan language week

This week our focus was on Samoan language week. We teamed up with LS1 to learn how to say some words in Samoan and we wanted to learn the ( days of the week ) in Samoan its ( Aso O'Le Vaiaso ) we had fun chring to say the words in Samoan. We had fun making this DLO I was working on this DLO with Sakina and Sila.

Kahoot

Today at reading we played a game of kahoot it was really fun and hard. We had to answer question  the answer and most of the question was really hard most of the question confused me. I forgot most of the answers because they were hard . We made a kahoot a few days ago.

Today I was on Readthory, readthory is a really fun way of reading because I got to answer some questions and I get to learn some new words and I got to have some fun time to read, it is so fun reading on readtheory.

Let me tell you something about my family my they are out mostly at Sundays we go to the beach or park it really fun and we have a 30 word in 1 mint Let me tell something about my family they always go out to park or beach its fun we have BBQ 19 word in 1 mint. Let me  tell you something about my siblings they are really annoying they come in my room they go no my iPad and they fish they my ice cream and they play pranks on me it not funny at all the worst one was the ice in my.40 word in 2 mint bed I am just get stared so annoying you do not went be me we always fight about how get the tv remote or the the chrome cast or the cat if i make slime my strikers. Come and make it with me it's not cool at all so annoying I like the bunny's going back in there our house more then go inside. 39 word in 1 mint

Our challenge today was to writhe my ideas clearly so that they make sense. We had only 4 minutes to do cheek our writing! we had to choose one of the word then power write for I minute, count our words, then carry on for 2 more minute count our words then finish with 1 more minute it was fun and easy and I had fun writing.

Manaiakalani Film festival

Yesterday we went to the film festival for the Manaiakalani we watched all great films one of my favourite film was for (Panmure Bridge School LS1) I have a bad felling about this it was scary and a bit funny at the same time. We went down at selves park to watch all the Manaiakalani film festival and we all had a grate time down at the film festival.

collaboratively Challenge

                    

This week Learning Space 2 were split into 12 groups. The Groups I had were San Kyaw , Joshua V and Cj. We worked collaboratively to create a DLO of the country we chose to researched about. The country we chose was Singapore. A interesting fact I found out about was that they speak four Languages they are English, Malay, Tamil and Standard Mandarin.

Today we were working on a GIF it's about bones how we need bones to stand up and movie. I was working on this GIF with Viva, Chavda, Joel and Angela and we were working really well on. Did you know that as kids we have 206 and as adults they have the same as us kids they have 206. If we didn't have bones we would be sloped on the ground and we need bones to walk and move.   

The Ichcape rock

This week we have been working on a poem about The Ichcape rock. It was really fun getting a verses and saying it, I got verses 9 because it sounded really fun. I found a new word and that new word is gurgling and gurgling is when some thing makes a hollow bubbling sound.

Matariki

Today we were work well with LS1 and I was working with Raera, Miiana and Brooklyn on DLO about Matariki. We all had fun and learned new things about Matariki about one of the story The 7 stars and it was really fun making this DLO because I learnt new things about Matariki. 

 Nyjah and I we have been working on our DLO about a book that we where reading about. Its about the British wanting to still New Zealand form the Maori's and it was really fun doing the 20 important words and it was hard doing the summary for me but I had fun doing the important's words.

Prons and Cons

Today we working on Pros and Cons. I was working with John, Chavda, Mataio and Miki and we were working really well together. It was hard finding thing for the cons and it was easy doing the pros and it was really fun doing the pros. 

M&M's - by Hajera, Miki, John, Chavda and Mataio

Last week we were learning about M&M's with Mr John. I was working with Miki, John, Chavda and Mataio,we all had fun making this DLO while Mrs Anderson and Mrs Kirkpatrick were gone to Chicago to do some work over there, we were having fun over eating M&M's and making DLO about them. We all had a part to do and present, we were team 8 and we present today and we all did good and we had some interesting facts about M&M's and one of the facts is the company got the idea from some soldiers.

Respiratory system

Today we were playing a really fun game Respiratory system labelling. Respiratory system labelling really helped me by knowing my Respiratory system and it was a bit hard knowing some of my system but I really had fun playing the Respiratory system game.

Today for reading we have be working working on Wheel words. Its a learning game that is really fun to play and I found a new word Ness.

Kiwi can

Today for kiwi can our new topic was goal setting and our new thiem was problem solving. We played two games and one of the games we played was hand soccer is was really fun and we learnt new things in kiwi can and we all always learn new things in kiwi can.

Three novels

I have been working on this DLO for a week and I have enjoyed working on this DLO because it was fun and shows what books I have been reading. One of the book that I have read is very interesting because a boy named August Pullman is born with a face difference and he just wants to be a normal kid like every one ales and the book is wonder. One of the funny books I have read is The phoenix of Destiny. Geronimo Stilton has to go back to the kingdom of Fantasy he goes by the wings of a phoenix to save the kingdom, Geronimo Stilton is a friend of Blossom the Queen of the fairies. I have read a lot of funny and nice, sad, interesting books.

Today in reading we played Wheel words it was really fun I used 3 hints for the six letter. I learnt a new word it  leap, leap is a powerful jump or movement.

This week I was committing on Regan's blog, she has lots of great blog post on her blog and Regan is a great person. Regan go's to a wonder full school in Paparoa Range school.

Going to the beach ( plan )

This is our plan for the Going to beach, I was working with Viva and we were learning to order a narrative and to link ideas between paragraphs. We made a DLO plan to help us with our pechaflickr DLO and it was really fun making this DLO because we learnt new words and came up with new ideas and it.

This week for Writing we have been working on Pecha Flicker, I was working with Viva and we both made a Pecha flicker. What we were working on was about going to the beach and we both had fun making this DLO and what was hard about it was finding the photo to go with it and we both had would want to make this DLO again. 

Cook Island week

Last week for Cook Island we created a DLO, I was working with Miki, John, Chavda and Mataio and we all had fun finding out things about Cook Islanders and we all had fun making this DLO about Cook Islands. One of the thing I learnt that it takes 4 hours and 14 minutes from New Zealand to Cook Island.

Today for reading we started with Wheel words, it was hard finding words with B and I used 3 hints for the  letter. I learnt a new word, it is Breed, Breed is a when a animals make babies. 

Cook Islands Máori Phrases

 

This week for cook island week we created a DLO using Cook Island Maori phrases . This site helped us learn to speak proper cook island language in sentences.
